About Olive
Olive is our beautiful chocolate, English Working Cocker Spaniel. She is KC registered. She has a lovely temperament, loves everyone and everything. She is the perfect lap dog at 15" tall at the withers (the shoulders) and an adult weight of 9.7kg.
She is hereditary unaffected by AMS and GPRA.
We have had several gun dog professionals, vets and fellow dog walkers comment on Olive's physique, attention in training and gentle, happy-go-lucky temperament and we are expecting her puppies to be the same. She is also a silent Working Cocker, bred specifically for her obedience, attentiveness and silence for working game shoots (although we don't personally work her).
She has many Field Trial Champions in her pedigree and in her family/extended family. She is bred from the Samsir line, and her father is FTCh Wetlands Abe, a well-known field trial champion. Olive's half-sister is a member of the GB Agility team - Samsir Blinkin' Brilliant. (same mother, different father)

Coat: Soft, smooth texture. Colour: Deep chocolate with highlighted ears and head.
She has a white splash on her chest.
Colours of her brothers and Sister (her litter): Lemon, Dark Golden, Dark Golden, Light Red, Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate Roan, Lemon Roan.
Parents: Her sire is FTCh Wetlands Abe, Sandy is a handsome golden stud dog with the highest gundog title. He is owned by perhaps the most well-known gundog breeder/kennels - Maesydderwen in Wales. Her dam is OFTAW Harlaston Harmony, Jazz is a beautiful Chocolate bitch owned by Samsir Gundogs in Malmesbury.

Hereditary unaffected of Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS)

Olive's mother has a fully clear DNA health test for AMS, guaranteeing none of her offspring will be affected.
Quirks:
1. When someone comes home or comes into the house she needs to find something to bring them, may it be a towel, a ball/toy or someone's sock!
2. She loves to find the biggest stick and carry it around on walks. However, she always knows that they aren't allowed inside so we end up with a pile of large branches outside our front door!
3. When there is tension in the room, or someone raises their voice, she goes and sits up with them and snuggles close, often right over your face so you can't talk. Irritating when trying to make a point, but has the benefit of making the other person laugh, breaking the tension and helping to abate the argument!
4. She loves to have the ball thrown for her when outside, and has recently (without specific training) started bringing the ball inside when she wants it thrown. If you ignore her for long enough, she will come back inside and pick it, carry it closer to you and slam it on the floor to make a point.
5. If you open one of the drawers in the kitchen (the one where biscuit tin is kept) and even touch it, she comes running over and sits quite obviously next to the drawer with her food begging eyes on. Totally impossible to resist... She loves any kind of biscuit.: )
